Why did you come to Antwerp?
I have a lot of family in Antwerp, and ever since I was a child I wondered how it would be like studying in Belgium. When I finally got the chance to study here I took this opportunity. And, of course, I aimed to improve my English skills

How do you like Antwerp?
I think Antwerp is a beautiful city with a lot of heritage and a great deal of places to go out and have a drink. In my town is not possible to have a drink with my friends after 2 a.m, even in weekends. Restaurants are also much nicer here in Antwerp than in The Hague. Better food!

Any difference between Plantijnhogeschool and your home University?
One big difference is that lessons start much earlier here. Back home, classes normally start between 10 and 11 a.m. In Holland, we also have more days of classes but fewer hours a day.

Tell us about the Erasmus experience...
The Erasmus experience has been great so far. I didn’t have any cultural shock perhaps due to the fact that Belgium and Netherlands are neighbouring countries. It was a real chance to get into know better people from other countries such as Spain, France, Rumania, Bulgaria, Hungary, Sweden, Turkey or Poland. I’ve already learnt a lot about these countries and also regard the cultural differences between us.
Furthermore, I used to think that there were not much distinction between Dutch and Belgian people, but I found since I am here that there are actually a lot of differences in our rules and values, and of course in the way we think and act.
